ACER publishes the 4th edition of the Guidance on the application of REMIT

The Agency has recently published the 4th edition of the Guidance on the application of Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 October 2011 on wholesale energy market integrity and transparency.

This new edition places strong emphasis on Article 15 of REMIT. It incorporates the Guidance Note 1/2015 of 4 March 2015 on the concept of persons professionally arranging transactions (PPATs) and provides further guidance to NRAs on how to monitor PPATs’ compliance with their Article 15 obligations.

The Agency will continue its work to assist NRAs in carrying out their activities under REMIT in a consistent and coordinated way. Besides, in order to make the implementation of REMIT as smooth as possible for market participants and stakeholders, the Agency will keep publishing and updating all relevant documentation on the Agency’s REMIT Portal.
